Maple Hill Apartments


Maple Hill opened in March 1973. The property is subject to a forty-year mortgage. Under an agreement with Cornell University, Abbott Associates, the owner, will transfer the property to them on September 30, 2013. At the current time, we can generally assume that all leases will terminate on or before that date. If the terms of transfer change for any reason, we will notify each tenant several months prior to that change regarding the new terms.

MAPLE HILL is an 82-unit housing development on East Hill in the Town of Ithaca. It is located about two miles from Ithaca's downtown business district, and about one mile from Collegetown and the Cornell University campus.

Maple Hill is served by municipal bus routes throughout Ithaca. Grocery shopping, national name stores, banks, and other services are within a one-half to a three mile radius.

Apartment sizes range from one, two, three, to four bedrooms. Floor plans and current rents are available by clicking the links under the heading FLOOR PLANS above.

All apartments are subsidized under a HUD mortgage, and supervised by New York State Homes and Community Renewal. Initially, applicants are qualified for occupancy primarily by income level and family size. Additional subsidies such as Section 8 may also apply depending on the personal circumstances of the Applicant. This is Equal Opportunity Housing.

Rent includes heat, hot water, electricity, cooking gas, parking, and the removal of rubbish, recyclables, and snow. There are 24/7 maintenance services and security, and a modern on-site laundry room.

Minimum one-year HUD leases apply to all units.
